Pacific City is well-known for its Cape Kiwanda State Natural Park. Roughly a 2-hour drive from Portland visitors and shorter for those in Salem, the state capital. It is located in Tillamook County. If you appreciate the finer quieter things in life and do not like crowds and are in need of a special get-a-way for a Romantic Weekend, Anniversary, Wedding, First or Second Honeymoon, or just a great safe fun place to take the family with something for everyone. You’ll, of course, have beach access, beach combing, bicycling, bird watching, camping, hiking and backpacking, whale and mammal watching, and even off-roading for those who like to get a little dirty.
The popular state park, Cape Kiwanda, is on the Three Capes Scenic Route, which includes Cape Meares and Cape Lookout. Hiking to the top of Cape Kiwanda allows views of Nestucca Bay to the south and Cape Lookout to the north.
